cryptidsatoz

My go-to compendium of all things cryptid is Cryptozoology A to Z by well known cryptozoologist, Loren Coleman and Jerome Clark. I refer to this book constantly and it has a great index which helps you find whatever info you're looking for in a pinch. Check it out here!

The second book I want to recommend is Chasing American Monsters by Jason Offutt. This book is similar to the previous book, but focuses primarily on American cryptids & legendary monsters. Offutt's descriptions are great and also made it easy to search and reference all of the different creatures of legend we find in America. It also has some really great illustrations of the different cryptids which is super fun. You can check this book out here!

The final book I wanted to mention here is The Mythical Creatures Bible by Brenda Rosen. This book has been a worldwide adventure delving into folktales and legends from across the many different human cultures around the globe. There so much in the realm of folklore that I had never been exposed to or research, and Rosen's research and compiling of all of the different types of creatures there are makes for a great read and source of information. You can check it out here!
